Certificate of Attainment in Modern Greek

Registrations for the Certificate of Attainment in Modern Greek language examinations are open to the general public in Adelaide and across South Australia. The 2026 examinations will be held in May 2026 at St George College Senior Campus, 75 Rose Street, Mile End SA. Centre Code: 61008

The Certificate of Attainment in Modern Greek is the only national certificate officially recognised by the Greek Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs, certifying proficiency in Greek as a foreign/second language. The examinations are offered across all levels, from A1 (for children aged 8-12) through to C2.

Age Requirements

  • Candidates must be at least 8 years of age by 1 May 2026 to participate in examinations at any level.
  • Candidates enrolling in A1 level (ages 8-12) must not have turned 13 years old by the date of the examination.
  • It is recommended that candidates under 16 years of age do not sit examinations at levels B2, C1, or C2, as these levels require a level of knowledge, maturity, and life experience that younger candidates may not yet possess.

Registration Process

Registrations must be completed electronically via the official registration system:

Applications for the 2026 examinations will be accepted between 1 February and 20 March 2026.

Examination Fees

Payment of examination fees is required to complete online registration.

  • A1, A2 and B1: AU $150 per level
  • B2, C1 and C2: AU $165 per level

Examination Dates

The examinations will take place on:

  • 19 May 2026 – Levels A1 and A2
  • 20 May 2026 – Levels B2 and C1
  • 21 May 2026 – Levels B1 and C2

Candidates will be notified of their exact examination time by 20 April 2026.
